Sensei Lenny Wilson

Lennie Wilson chose to ask Frank Grant to teach him self-defense in 1969 as he felt Mr. Grant was more interested in teaching than in financial rewards. About the time the rank of Sho Dan was awarded, his occupation displaced him. Mr. Wilson was able to begin teaching in 1975 and again in 1977 after another employment relocation. As work stabilized, he was able to regain active training and teaching. Sensei Wilson teaches classes at Wilson Karate Club and Women's Self Defense Classes in Troy, Michigan. At the rank of Roko Dan with Hanshi Grant still his Sensei, self-defense and personal development continue at the forefront of his personal focus and student instruction. Favorite katas include the basic kata of Pinan Yon Dan and the advanced kata of Kusanku.
